Study: Exposure to fluoride can reduce the Intelligence of Children

Exposure to fluoride can lower children’s intelligence, says a study published in the pre-“Environmental Health Perspectives, a publication of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.

Fluoride is added to 70% of public drinking water supplies in the U.S.. In Brazil, data from the National Information System on Sanitation 2003 indicate that 75% of the volume of water produced by the providers is fluoridated and an estimated 100 million Brazilians drink fluoridated water.

According to Paul Connett, Ph.D., director of the Fluoride Action Network, “This is the twenty-fourth study found that this association, but this study is stronger than the rest because the authors have managed to change key variables , and also correlate to a decrease in IQ level to the levels of fluoride in water, the authors found a correlation between low IQ and amount of fluoride in children’s blood. This brings us closer to a cause and effect relationship between exposure to Fluoride and brain damage in children. ”

“What is also striking is that the levels of fluoride in the community where the decrease was recorded IQ was lower than the EPA says is safe standard level of fluoridation of 4 ppm (parts per million), and too close to levels used in artificial fluoridation programs (0.7 to 1.2 ppm), “says Connett. In Brazil, the level deemed “optimal” is 0.7 to 1.0 ppm.

In this study, 512 children aged 8 to 13 years in two Chinese villages have been studied and tested: in Wamaio with an average of 2.47 mg of fluoride per liter of water (range from 0.57 to 4.50 mg / L) Xinhuai and with an average of 0.36 mg / L (0.18 -0.76 mg / L).

The authors have eliminated both the problems of lead exposure and iodine deficiency as possible causes for the reduced IQ. They also excluded all children who had a history of disease or brain damage and took no brick tea (tea or compact), known to contain high fluoride levels. None of the villages are exposed to
fluorine pollution from burning coal and other industrial sources.

About 28% of children in the area with low level of fluoride results were so bright, normal or above compared to only 8% in the area who had higher levels of fluoride in water (Wamaio).

In a city with high level of fluoridation, 15% showed results indicating mental retardation versus 6% in the city with low fluoridation. The study’s authors write: “In this study we found a significant dose-response relationship between fluoride level in the blood and IQ of children.”

Besides this study, and 23 other studies of IQ, there are more than 100 animal studies linking fluoride to brain damage (all studies of IQ and brain studies in animals are listed in Appendix 1 of the “Case Against Fluoride” available online (in English)).

One of the oldest animal studies on the impact of fluoride on the brain was published in the United States. This study, Mullenix al. al (1995), led to the resignation of the author by the Forsyth Dental Center. “This sent a clear message to other researchers in the U.S. to look into the health effects of fluoride, particularly in the brain was not good for your career,” says Connett.

Connett adds: “The result is that while the question of the impact of fluoride on IQ is being pursued aggressively around the world, virtually no work was done in the USA or other countries that practice fluoridation in order to repeat their results . Unfortunately, the health agencies in countries that practice fluoridation seem more interested in protecting their fluoridation programs that protect children’s brains. ”

When the National Research Council National Academies reviewed this topic in its report of 507 pages titled “Fluoride in Drinking Water: A Review of EPA’s standards,” published in 2006, only five of 24 studies of IQ were available in English. Even so, the panel concluded that the link between exposure to fluoride and low IQ would be consistent and “plausible.”

According to Tara Blank, Ph.D., Director for Science and Health Fluoride Action Network, “This must be the study that finally end up with water fluoridation. Millions of American children are being unnecessarily exposed to this neurotoxin in a daily basis. Who in their right mind would decrease the risk of intelligence of their children in order to reduce a small amount of dental caries, for which the evidence is very weak. ” (See The Case Against Fluoride, October 2010).

Fluoridation in Brazil

In Brazil, Law 60507 of 24 May 1974 regulates the practice of water fluoridation. This law states in Article 1:

“The projects for the construction or expansion of systems of public water supply, where there are sewage treatment, should include forecasts and plans for water fluoridation, according to the requirements and for the purposes specified in regulations under this Act;”

According to the Ordinance. 635 of 26 December 1975, the concentration of fluoride in water should vary between 0.6 to 1.7, depending on the average daily temperature.

Data from the National Information System on Sanitation 2003 indicate that 75% of the volume of water produced by the providers is fluoridated and an estimated 100 million Brazilians drink fluoridated water.

And as with the pesticide Roundup, Monsanto (glyphosate), which are used in GM crops are causing birth defects, miscarriages and cancer in humans, and not to mention a massive decrease of nature important pollinators like bees, bats and butterflies.

These new reports leaked by Wikileaks coincide with others who have exposed the agenda of the Department of State United States to force GM crops on the world’s nations. This commitment on behalf of the U.S. biotechnology includes the “Evergreen Revolution” (Revolution Ever-Green), an Obama administration program designed to spread GM crops in Africa in the same way as did the “Green Revolution” in India.

The State Department also is urging the Vatican to increase their vocal support for GM crops “in the hope that a louder voice in Rome, encourage the leaders of local churches around the world to reconsider their views of critics.”

The Fear and Knowledge

I decided to write this text, for those who do not trust in themselves, people who are influenced by fear, is it wrong or anything else.
